the haka for the men and women is "Ka Panapana" or "Tremble" it was composed for the men who went to War for the British in WW1. It is really a female haka preparatory to the men's haka. It pleads for their men to come back... come back to the bodies of those waiting for their return.

The Hula is a hula kahiko called "Kahi Kai A'o Mamala" a chant composed of a shark goddess who loved to swim in the shallow waters named after her. She married another shark god that through time neglected her and mistreated her. So she left him and fell in love with a chief. Her ex-husband (the shark-god) came back to her wanting her to reconsider taking him back. When he approached her with a pale of fish he tripped and his gift to her fell to the ground. Embarrassed by his attempt to win her back he went back into the sea never to bother her again. Since then she still can be seen swimming the shallow waters that bears her name. This mele is easy to learn. I will also share inspirational thoughts and protocols.

Tahitian will be technique and names of steps.
